Hot lemon with limoncello
There is a golden rule with cocktails, they must always be cold, ice cold, just above freezing. If you use too little ice, the cocktail will water down too quickly and become shallow. There is one exception though, hot cocktails. Admittedly, you can only drink them when it's really cold outside. The nice thing, such a hot cocktail, warms you up twice and is a lot of fun on a cold, wet autumn evening. We have modified a classic, the Hot Toddy, and replaced the whiskey with our Single Tree Limoncello. The recipe is super easy and invites you to imitate it.

You need the following Ingredients for 4 cups of hot lemon:
- juice of 3 lemons
- 2 tablespoons honey or agave syrup
- 1/2 liter of water
- 200 ml Single Tree Limoncello
- 4 cinnamon sticks
- 4 lemon wedges
Heat all the ingredients in a pot to a maximum of 70 ºC - no more than that, otherwise the alcohol will go away. Serve in cups and decorate with a lemon wedge and a cinnamon stick.
About the Single Tree Limoncello:
We just bottled the new 2022 batch. This year it might be a bit more aromatic than the 21. The lemons are again from our friends Borja and Alicia. Their limonero is more than 100 years old and stands on a terrace in Son Vida with incredible views of the sea. Our limoncello production is never very large as all the lemons come from just this one tree.
